  • A workshop on Cyber Security was organized in collaboration with the Learning Development Cell for the pre-final year students on 12.10.2021. The resource person was Mr. V.Mohana Manikanda Babu, Research and Operations, QBIT Technologies, Coimbatore.
  • Mr. S.Thangamani, Assistant Professor of our department conducted a Swachh Bharat Cleaning Activity with our department students at PG-Block Second floor (CT and IT Class Rooms) on 30. 04.2022.

  1. The Digital Literacy Programme for the benefit of the students of Govt.Panchayat Union Primary School, Nanjanapuram was conducted on 16.07.2019. This programme has elated the technological bustle of almost 18 students at basic level.
  2. Dr. H. Vasudevan, Associate Professor and Head, Department of Commerce with Computer Applications our college delivered a Guest Lecture  on “Disaster Management: Financial Emergency”  for the final year students on 30.08.2019.

  4. The Digital Payments and Cyber Security Awareness Programme were conducted on 12.02.2020 to the non-computer science stream students in the Kongu Arts and Science College (Autonomous). The students of Computer Technology and Information Technology created awareness around 1400 students and they are inspired towards the latest technology of cyber forum.

  2. 24 Students of our department conducted an “Awareness Programme on Digital Payment Systems and Cyber Security” for 33 UG Classes of our college on 03.02.2017.
Activities of Academic Counselling Cell
  1. Individual Student Counselling for all the students was conducted by the respective tutors thrice in order to help them to improve their academic performance.
  2. 3 Class Committee meeting were conducted by the HOD to review the academic process of the department.

  1. The department offers the following Non Remunerative Consultancy services since September 2016.

    • Software Installation.

  2. The Cell has provided free services for 20 Staff Members and Students with the worth of Rs. 5000.
Activities of Green Computing Forum
  1. A Green Computing Awareness Programme was organized by the final year B.Sc. (Computer Technology) students on 06.09.2016.
  2. E-Waste was collected on 16.09.2016 and was handed over to Science Forum of our college for recycling.
  3. An Essay Writing Competition on “Go Green” was conducted on 03.02.2017.
