ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The Department was established in the year 1995. The main objective of the Department is to equip the students and to provide an avenue for Biochemists so as to contribute substantially to the future prosperity of our community. The Department offers a broad based multidisciplinary course guaranteeing employment in a variety of sectors viz., Pharmaceutical industry, Clinical and Forensic Science Laboratories, Agrochemical Companies, Food /Beverages Industries, Public Health Laboratories, Cosmetic Industries, Environmental Pollution Control, Safety and Quality Control, Medical Transcription, Medical Coding etc., Scientific research prospects in Research Institutes specialized in Genetic engineering, Clinical trials, Clinical database Management etc.,
