About the Department
தமிழ்த்துறை தகுதியும் அனுபவமும் மிகுந்த பேராசிரியர்களைத் தன்னகத்தே கொண்டு இயங்கி வருகிறது. தமிழ் மொழியைத் தடையில்லாமல் உரையாடவும் பிழையின்றி எழுதவும் வல்ல மாணவர்களை உருவாக்க வேண்டும் என்ற சீரிய குறிக்கோளோடு செயல்படுகிறது.
The Department of Tamil, functions with well qualified and experienced staff members. The main aim of the department is to make the students speak and write flawless Tamil.

கொங்கு கலை பண்பாட்டு ஆய்வு மையம்
கொங்கு நாட்டின் அடையாளமாகத் திகழ்கின்ற கலை மற்றும் பண்பாடு குறித்த தரவுகளைத் தொகுத்தல், வரையறுத்தல், ஆவணப்படுத்தல் மற்றும் ஆய்வு செய்தல் என்பதை நோக்கமாகக் கொண்டது.
தமிழ்த்துறை சார்பாக தமிழ் மன்றத் தொடக்க விழா கல்லூரியின் தாளாளர் உயர்திரு P.D. தங்கவேல் அவர்களின் வழிகாட்டுதலில் 23.07.2025 புதன்கிழமை அன்று நடைபெற்றது. கல்லூரியின் முதல்வர் முனைவர். H. வாசுதேவன் அவர்கள் வாழ்த்துரை வழங்கினார். சிறப்பு விருந்தினராக நாமக்கல் அரசு கால்நடை மருத்துவக் கல்லூரியின் கால்நடை உடற்கூறியல் துறைத்தலைவர் மற்றும் பேராசிரியர் முனைவர் ஆ.குமரவேள் அவர்கள் கலந்து கொண்டு “மெல்லத் தமிழ் இனி வாழும்” என்ற தலைப்பில் சிறப்புரை வழங்கினார். நொய்யல் தமிழ் மன்றத்தின் மாணவப் பொறுப்பாளர்கள் அறிமுகமும் சாரல் இதழ் வெளியீடும் நடைபெற்றது.
கொங்கு கலை அறிவியல் கல்லூரி தமிழ்த்துறையின் நொய்யல் தமிழ்மன்றம் சார்பாக
சிறப்புச் சொற்பொழிவு கல்லூரியின் தாளாளர் உயர்திரு P.D.தங்கவேல் அவர்களின்
வழிகாட்டுதலில் 06.08.2025 புதன்கிழமை அன்று நடைபெற்றது.
இவ்விழாவிற்கு கொங்கு பொறியியல் கல்லூரியின் தாளாளர் A.K.இளங்கோ அவர்கள்
வாழ்த்துரை வழங்கினார். கல்லூரியின் முதல்வர் முனைவர் H.வாசுதேவன் அவர்கள் முன்னிலை
வகித்தார்.சிறப்பு விருந்தினராக கவிஞர், திரைப்படப் பாடலாசிரியர் பாவலர் அறிவுமதி அவர்கள்
கலந்து கொண்டு "நட்புக்காலம்" எனும் தலைப்பில் தாய் தந்தையரே சிறந்த நண்பர்கள்
என்றும்கண்ணியம் காத்தலே நட்பு அதில் ஆண், பெண் என்ற பேதமில்லை என்று பேசியதோடு
சூழ்நிலையை கவிதையாக்கும் உத்தியை அவரது கவிதைகள் வாயிலாக எடுத்துரைத்தார்.
பண்பாட்டு அற மன்றத்தின் இளைஞர் மேம்பட்டுப் பயிற்சி முகாம் கல்லூரியின்
தாளாளர் உயர்திரு P.D.தங்கவேல் அவர்களின் வழிகாட்டுதலில் 08.08.2025 முதல்
10.08.2025 வரை மூன்று நாட்கள் கல்லூரி வளாகத்தில் நடைபெற்றது.
இம்முகாமின் தொடக்க விழாவில் பெருந்துறை தி கொங்கு வேளாளர் இன்ஸ்டிடியூட்
ஆப் டெக்னாலஜி டிரஸ்டின் உபதலைவர் திரு. E.R.K.கிருஷ்ணன் அவர்கள்
கலந்துகொண்டு சிறப்புரை ஆற்றினார். கல்லூரியின் முதல்வர் முனைவர். H.
வாசுதேவன் அவர்கள் வாழ்த்துரை வழங்கினார். தமிழ்நாடு பாரதப் பண்பாட்டு கல்வி
மற்றும் பயிற்சி மையத்தின் இயக்குனர் திரு S.செந்தில்குமார் அவர்கள் முகாம்
மையஉரை வழங்கிச் சிறப்பித்தார்.

பள்ளிக்கல்வித்துறையும் ஈரோடு மாவட்டம் நூலக ஆணைக்குழுவும் இணைந்து
சிறுவாணி இளைஞர் இலக்கியத் திருவிழா போட்டிகளை 05.01.2026 மற்றும்
06.01.2026 ஆகிய இரு தினங்களில் ஈரோடு கொங்கு கலை அறிவியல் கல்லூரியில்
நடத்தினர். இந்தப் போட்டிகளில் பங்கேற்றுப் பரிசு பெற்ற மாணவர்களுக்கும்
நடுவர்களுக்கும் இன்று ஈரோடு மாவட்ட ஆட்சியர் அவர்கள் பரிசளித்துப்
பாராட்டினார்.

Inaugural ceremony of Tamil Forum for the academic year 2024-2025
was organized on 06.08.2024. Kovai Sadhasivam, Ecology
Enthusiast,Coimbatore, delivered the Keynote Address on 'Iyarkaiyum
Tamizhum' and Thiru. Dhevi Bharathi, Sahitya Academy Awardee,
Erode, was honoured during the occasion.
Department organized a Special Lecture jointly with the Internal Quality
Assurance Cell of the College on 07.08.2024. Mr. Bhava Chelladurai,
Author, Creator and Story Teller was the Keynote Speaker and he
delivered the speech on the topic 'Outside my window'.
Elakkiya Vattam for the Academic Year was inaugurated on 30.08.2024.
Dr. V.Vijayalakshmi, Associate Professor (SF Wing), Department of
Tamil, P.S.G. Arts and Science College, Coimbatore, delivered the
Keynote Address titled 'Ilakkiyamum Ilaignargalum'.
Department of Tamil jointly with Erode Vaasal(Unit of Erodu
Saalaram Foundation) organized Essay, Poetry Writing and Oratorical
Competitions on the eve of Mahakavi Bharathiar Birthday Celebration on
11.12.2024. Students from various disciplines participated. Cash prizes were
given for the winners. Thiru. A.K.Ilango, Correspondent, Kongu Engineering
College, Perundurai and our Principal Dr. H.Vasudevan distributed Prizes
during the ocassion. Members from Erode Vaasal acted as Jury Members.

அவர்கள் கலந்து கொண்டு “இனியன கண்டேன் கேளீர்” என்ற தலைப்பில் சிறப்புரை

Department of Tamil commemorated the Tamil forum Inauguration ceremony
on 02.08.2023, Poet Magudesuwaran, Writer, Grammatist, Tamil Scholar
delivered the Keynote Address titled 'Saving Tamil is our First Goal' The
event attracted more than Four Fifty students from various departments.
Department of Tamil commemorated the Elakkiya Vattam Inauguration ceremony on
28.08.2023 Dr. Senthamarai Avl , Head Department of Tamil Erode Arts and
Science College,Erode delivered the Keynote Address titled
"ElakkiyamPadaipom" The Inaugural address attracted more hundred students
from various department.
Birthday of MagakaviBharathiarwas celebrated on behalf of Tamil
department Literary Circle On 11.12.2023. on this
occasion,MagakaviSubramaniyaBharathiar idol was paid tribute by showering
flowers. The Principal of the college , the head of the department, Professors
and students took active Participation.The literary circle of tamil department
conducted various contests.100 students from all departments of the college
participated in this contests.
On behalf of Department of Tamil, the Inter - Department Pongal vizha
competitions were conducted on 12.01.2024 in a grand manner. The
correspondent Thiru P.D.ThangavelAvl. distinguished the event with his
presence. Students from all the departments participated in the event.
The literary circle of Tamil Department counducted various contests on
06.02.2024 at Government Higher Secondary School Sivagiri. The Head of the
Department Dr.P.Dhinakaran Distinguished the event by presenting prizes to
the winners of the competitions.
Department of Tamilorganized 'Thaai Mozhi Dhinam' with various
competitions along with the Department of Hindi and Other Languageson
21.02.2024.The objective was to inculcate the importance of mother language
and its culture in the mind set of student community. Around90 students from
various departments participated in it. The students showcased their talents
through Singing in their mother languages and had an opportunity to explore
theirskills in drawing and Poem Writing.
The Tamil Department conducted a One day Workshop on 29.02.2024.
Dr G.RameshAvl, Associate Professor & Head in Tamil, Central University of
Tamilnadu, Thiruvarur.delivered the Keynote Address titled 'Workshop on
Drama'.The teachers along with 150 Students Participants are participated in
the event.
The valediction ceremony of the Tamil deparment was held on
01.03.2024.Dr P.BharathiAvl. Asst.Prof in Tamil, P.S.G Arts and Science
College, coimbatore, Delivered a keynote address entitled
'VagupparaikalilKathaikal'. More than 450 students participated in the event.
