Talent Hunt was organized for the first U.G students of our College by providing a forum
to the budding achievers to nurture their hidden talents at Silver jubilee Hall on
26.07.2025 around 200 students have participated and exhibited their talents.
On 23.08.2025, the Fine Arts Club members of our college performed a cultural program
during the Founders' Day celebration
The Fine Arts Club and Eco Club of our college, in association with the NilgirisNext
Foundation for Arts and Culture (NXF), Coimbatore, organized an awareness
Documentary Film Screening on Climate Change, AI Ethics, Cultural Identity, and Social
Justice on 02.12.2025 and 03.12.2025 at the UVS Hall. This programme helped the
students understand the challenges in these crucial areas and emphasized the importance
of conserving nature and preserving cultural values.
Kongu Cultural Fest – 2026, an Intra-Collegiate Event, was organized on 24.01.2026 at
the Open Auditorium to provide students with an opportunity to experience, celebrate,
and explore cultural diversity through music and the arts. Around 300 students actively
participated and showcased their talents and creativity in various events. In this fest, the
Department of Commerce with Computer Applications won the Winner’s Trophy, while
the Runner-up Trophy was secured by the Department of English.
The Fine Arts Club, in association with the Anti-Drug Club, organized an Awareness
Flash Mob on the theme “Awareness of Drug Addiction” on 12.02.2026. Students from
various departments actively participated in the programme. The event created significant
awareness about the harmful effects of substance abuse and helped students understand
its physical, psychological, social, and legal consequences. Through this engaging
activity, the message of leading a healthy and drug-free life was effectively conveyed to
the student community.
The Fine Arts Club conducted various competitions for college students on 10.02.2026.
The events included Tamil and English Oratorical, Solo Singing, MIME, Group Dance,
and Wealth Out of Waste competitions, providing a vibrant platform to showcase diverse
talents and foster creativity. Students from different departments enthusiastically
participated and won prizes, reflecting their individual talents, teamwork, and the strong
spirit of collaboration and active involvement within the institution.
Achievers Day was celebrated on 06.03.2026 (FN) in UVS Hall. Our alumni
Dr. G. Barani, Associate Professor, Bharathiar School of Management and Entrepreneur
Development, Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, and Mr. K. Deepan Chakravarthy,
Senior Process Administrator, Rolls Royce India Private Limited, Bangalore, were
invited as special guests. Students and staff members who achieved academic excellence
during the academic year 2025–2026 were honoured with shields and cash prizes.
During the academic year, our college reached a pinnacle of success by bagging
8 Overall Trophies. In addition, 452 students won prizes with a total cash award of
₹2,77,300 in various intercollegiate events conducted by different institutions.
