Department of Business Administration

About the Department

Department of Business Administration was bifurcated from the Department of Business Administration with Computer Applications in 2012. The Department holds a decade of remarkable excellence. Courses in the program are designed and updated in such a way that mould graduates to manage business in the Marketing, Human Resource, Banking, Finance, Logistics, Supply Chain & other areas of both Manufacturing and Service industries. Our department kindles students’ aspiration for entrepreneurship and guides them to shine as successful entrepreneurs in life.

The department arranges guest lectures, workshops and seminars regularly to enrich students’ knowledge in various fields. The department organizes "MANOPOLY", state level management meet continually and invites students from 150 colleges in Tamilnadu. The department conducts an Alumni meet "Remembrance", a pleasant nostalgic occasion periodically. The department grooms students’ intellectual calibre by guiding and encouraging them to present papers in state and national level seminars, conferences etc.,

    Eligibility

    A pass in +2 (Academic / Vocational Stream) conducted by the Government of Tamilnadu or any other examination accepted as Equivalent by the Syndicate of Bharathiar University.

  • The Department of Business Administration had organized a Guest Lecture on "Buliding a successful Career inLogistics and Supply chain" for the third year students on 16.07.2026 Mr.K.P.Karthikeyan, Head and Associate Professor, Department of Business Administration welcomed the gathering. The resource person for the program was Mr. Hari Haran Ramalingam Managing Director Daily route Logistics. He shared his journey to success and explained how he successfully established his supply chain management business and managed its operations. The session was highly informative, and 85 students benefited from it.
  • Department of business administration in Kongu Arts and Science College, Erode and Angel Starch and Food Private Limited, Erode, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote industry-academia collaboration and provide students with opportunities for training, internships and skill development.The MoU was signed by Mr. B. R. Nandha, Joint Managing Director, Angel Starch and Food Private Limited, and Dr. H. Vasudevan, Principal, Kongu Arts and Science College, in the presence of Mr. K. P. Karthikeyan, Head, Department of Business Administration.
  • The Anti-Drug Club, in association with the Department of Business Administration, organized an “Anti-Drug Awareness Programme” by visiting the I Tech Foundation De-Addiction cum Rehabilitation Center on 14st August 2026. A total of 50 students accompanied by 2 faculty members participated in this awareness initiative

  • Association Inauguration for the BBA students on 11.07.2025. Mr. K.P. Karthikeyan, Head and Associate Professor, Department of Business Administration welcomed the gathering. The resource persons for the program were Mrs. Rashika Gopal and Mr. S. Selvaraj.
  • ECO CLUB, organized a thought-provoking guest lecture on the topic "Confronting Pollution Through Sustainable Solutions" for the I Year BBA students.The session was delivered by Mr. G. Vivek, MSW, a social worker, artist, and the Founder & President of Aayudham Foundation, Coimbatore.
  • Guest Lecture for III-year students on 22.07.2025 on the topic of Research Methodology.The Resource person of this guest lecture was Dr. S. Parthiban, Assistant professor and Head, Department of Management, Gobi Arts and Science College. 79 Students were benefited from this session

  • Guest Lecture for I-year students on 19.08.2025 in the topic of Mental Health and Peer Pressure.The Resource person of this guest lecture was Mrs. Gomathi Srikalyan, Founder, First-In - (Organic Baby Clothing). 68 Students benefited from this session.
  • The Department of Business Administration had organized an guest lecture on ''LEVERAGING BUSINESS THROUGH DEBT FUNDS'' for the Second year students on 15.12.2025. The session was very helpful and 81 students benefited.
  • The Department of Business Administration organized a guest lecture titled “AI Decision Making – The New Normal in Business Management” on 02.02.2026. The students gained valuable insights into AI decision-making and benefited from the session.

  • Our Department had organized Industrial visit to KG Fabrics, Sipcot on 31.08.2024 for II BBA A & B students in order to inculcate the practical knowledge to the students.
  • Anti Drug Committee in association with the Department of Business Administration organized Human Chain Activity. The NCC, NSS, YRC, RRC and Anti drug committee members and students of the Department of Business Administration participated in the human chain activity, Form a Chain, Break the Drug Addiction at Erode District Collector Office on 26.09.2024. The activity was inaugurated by the Erode Town Police Station Inspector. Around 80 students actively participated in this activity
