About the Department

The Department of Corporate Secretaryship was established in the year 1994 and Professional Accounting in the year 2014 with a view to fulfill the needs of the corporate world. The department constitutes a team of committed faculty members who strive for the betterment of the students. The aim of the Department is to make the students to be trained for the completion of the ACS and CA professional courses. The department encourages and guides the students who are willing to take up the ACS and CA courses. Our ambition is to make the students, to complete the foundation/CPT and executive/IPCC of ACS/CA within the stipulated period of 3 years. The department has signed an MoU with ICSE (Coimbatore Chapter) for ACS (Foundation Course).

  • The Association activities were successfully inaugurated on 07.07.2026. Our Correspondent, Thiru. P. Sachithanandan, presided over the function. The Principal, Dr. H. Vasudevan, felicitated the gathering. CS. G. Yuvaraj, Chairman, and CS. C. Sakunthala, Immediate Past Chairperson, of the Coimbatore Chapter of ICSI inaugurated the Association activities and addressed the gathering.
  • On 07.07.2026, a Professional Course Awareness Programme was conducted in collaboration with the Coimbatore Chapter of ICSI. CS. G. Yuvaraj, Chairman of the Coimbatore Chapter of ICSI, addressed the first-year Commerce stream students. Around 300 students attended the programme and gained awareness about the Company Secretary (CS) and Chartered Accountant (CA) professional courses.
  • On 08.07.2026, 34 students opened Savings Bank (SB) accounts with the Indian Overseas Bank, Nasiyanur Branch, through the online mode under the guidance of Ms. M. Karthika (Alumnus), Cashier and Ms. P. Shobana, Business Correspondent, Indian Overseas Bank, Nasiyanur Branch.
  • A Bridge Course for first-year students from non-Commerce and non-Computer Science backgrounds was conducted from 07.07.2026 to 09.07.2026 and on 13.07.2026. The sessions were handled by the faculty members of the department.
  • The Department organized a Personality Development Programme on “Mastering the Idiosyncrasy of Life” for the second-year Corporate Secretaryship and Professional Accounting students on 20.08.2026 and 21.08.2026. Mr. Ajith Selvaraju, Founder & CEO of N'KISI Institute of Training, served as the Resource Person.
  • The Department organized Training on Mock Trading for the second-year Corporate Secretaryship and Professional Accounting students on 24.08.2026, which was conducted by the Faculty Members of the Department
  • On 01.09.2026 and 02.09.2026, the Department organized CorPro GI Mart, an exhibition-cum-sale. A total of 60 stalls were set up by the students, of which 10 stalls featured GI products. Around 3,000 students and 200 staff members of the College visited the stalls.

  • Association activities was inaugurated on 7.07.2025. Correspondent Thiru.P.Sachithanandan presided over the function. Principal Dr.H.Vasudevan felicitated the gathering. CS. C. Sakunthala, Chairperson and CS.G. Yuvaraj, Vice Chairman of Coimbatore Chapter of SIRC of ICSI inaugurated the association activities and addressed the gathering. On the same day Professional Course Awareness Program was conducted in collaboration with ICSI Coimbatore Chapter. CS. C. Sakunthala, Chairperson of Coimbatore Chapter of SIRC of ICSI addressed all the first year Commerce stream students. Around 375 students attended the program and they were exposed to Company Secretary and Chartered Accountant Professional Course.
  • On 9.07.2025, 28 students opened SB Account in Indian Overseas Bank, Nasiyanur Branch through online with the guidance of Ms. P. Shobana, Business Correspondent, IOB, Nasiyanur Branch
  • Bridge course for Non-Computer first year students was conducted from 09.07.2025 to 11.07.2025 and on 15.07.2025. Department Faculty Members handled the classes.
  • In association with Anti Drug Club, Pamphlets were distributed at Nathakadaiyur on 23.07.2025 to raise awareness among the public, promoting a drug-free society.
  • Faculty Exchange Programme with Sri Rama Krishna Mission Vidyalaya College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore was conducted from 23.07.2025 to 25.07.2025. Dr.K.Dhanalakshmi, Assistant Professor of our College handled classes for II B.Com (CA) students of Sri Rama Krishna Mission Vidyalaya College of Arts and Science. Dr. N. Gopalsamy, Assistant Professor of Sri Rama Krishna Mission Vidyalaya College of Arts and Science handled classes for our I B.Com (PA) students.
  • Guest Lecture on ‘Application of Trends in Technology for Accountants’ was conducted on 08.08.2025 for our second and third year PA students. Ms. M. Anusuya, Senior Trainer and Mr. K. Kavin Kumar, Software Developer from Erode ETS Academy addressed the students.
  • In association with the Eco Club, an ‘Awareness Programme against Single-Use Plastics’ was conducted for the students of Erode Sri Sakthi Vidhya Nikethan School on 09.08.2025.
  • Mr. Ajith Selvaraju, Founder & CEO of N'KISI Institute of Training conducted Personality Development Programme on GOAL - Game Oriented Activity based Learning for second year Corporate and Professional Accounting students on 12.08.2025 and on 13.08.2025.
  • Training on Mock Trading was given by the Department Faculty Members for second year Corporate and Professional Accounting students on 25.08.2025.
  • An Industrial visit was arranged for third year CS CA and PA students in order to provide practical exposure and they were taken to Milky Mist, Perundurai on 25/08/2025, 26/08/2025 and on 3/09/2025.
  • An awareness program on ‘Drug Awareness among Peer Hostellers’ was conducted in association with NCC, YRC, NSS and RRC for both boys and girls hostel students on 30.8.2025.
  • ‘Training on Exploring Entrepreneurs’ was provided by the Department Faculty Members for third year CS CA and PA students on 30.8.2025.
  • The CorPro GI Mart was organised on 17.9.2025. A total of 40 Stalls were set up for the exhibition- cum-sale by our students among which 20 are GI product stalls. Around 3000 of our College students and 200 Staff Members visited the Stall.
  • In Collaboration with the Department of Corporate Secretaryship & Patrician Research Center and Patrician College of Arts and Science, Chennai, organized an International Conference on Research Pathways to 2030: Insights for Sustainable Development through Hybrid Mode on 26.09.2025. Four Technical Sessions were conducted on various topics. Around 75 research papers were presented and 200 research papers were published in a peer reviewed Journal. More than 1000 persons from 22 States of the Country with a Global presence of America participated in this International Conference through online and offline. The entire process was converted into Conference proceeding and the same was released.
  • Around 400 students took the Constitution Day Pledge on 26.11.2025. On account of the 76th Indian Constitution Day Celebration, an Online Quiz was organized from 26.11.2025 to 08.12.2025 for Higher Secondary School and College Students. Around 600 students participated and they were issued with e- Certificate.
  • In association with the Eco Club, an Online Quiz on Water Conservation was organized from 21.12.25 to 31.12.25.
  • In association with the Anti Drug Club, a Lyric writing competition was organized on the theme ‘The path of addiction is the path of destruction - போதையின் பாதை அழிவின் பாதை’ on 29.12.25.
  • ‘Extension activity - Unnatha Karangal – 2026’ was conducted on 7.1.2026 at Government Primary School, Nanjanapuram. Our Department students contributed grocery items, stationeries, biscuits and used dress materials. Around 100 village people received the said items and got benefited.
  • A Guest Lecture on ‘Constitutional Obligations of Citizens’ was conducted on 22.1.26 for second and third year Corporate students. Mr. R. Mohanbabu, Advocate, Perundurai addressed the students on constitutional rights and obligations.
  • The Intra-Departmental Function – “CorPro FOCUS - 2026” was conducted on 27.1.2026 & 28.1.2026. Events such as Mock Meeting, Paradoxical Talk, Selfie Marketing, Treasure out of Trash, Talent Collage and Group Dance were conducted.
  • A Seminar on ‘Financial Education for Young Citizens of India’ was conducted for our first year students on 29.01.2026 & 30.01.2026. Dr. Sharan Kumar Shetty, Educator & Director, Shiridi Saiguru Education Trust, Mangalore was the resource person.
  • Workshop on ‘Yoga for Harmony and Peace’ was organized on 04/02/2026 for all the first and second year students of our Department. Yogi Anandaswamy, Yoga Trainer from Ananda Marga Yoga Centre, Coimbatore made the students to practice Yoga.
  • Final year students presented the highlights of the Indian Union Budget on 05/02/2026. Few sectors were taken by the students and they analysed the impact of the budget including the potential for growth and the benefit for the Society.
  • ‘Alumni Meet - 2026’ was conducted on 8/02/2026. This Alumni meet is organized for 2011-14 to 2021-24 Batch. Correspondent Thiru.P.Sachithanandan and Principal Dr.H.Vasudevan honored the Alumni achievers with a shields.
  • Bonded Labour Day pledge was taken by all the students of the Department on 09/02/2026.
  • Career Guidance Seminar on ‘Breaking the Myths about Overseas Education’ was conducted on 11.02.2026 for all the second year students of our Department. Our Alumnus Mr. Prabakaran Srinivasan who is the Founder & Director of Weryfyr, Coimbatore guided the students and explained the opportunities available in various Countries for pursuing higher studies with scholarship and getting part time job.
  • In association with Road Safety Club a ‘Street Play on Road safety’ was performed on 24.2.2026. Our students demonstrated and played a fabulous role and thus created awareness on road safety.
  • Workshop on ‘GST and Business Practices’ was conducted on 24.02.2026 & 25.2.2026 for third year students. Dr. D. Siva Shanmugam, Organizing Secretary, GST Academy of Excellence, Erode explained about the provisions and practices of GST.
  • Exploring Entrepreneurs videos were screened on 02.03.2026.
  • Industrial Visit was organized for the final year students on 03.03.2026. Students were taken to BTS Knitss Process Private Limited, Annur and the Tamilnadu Eco Tourism centre Baralikaadu. Students explored and enjoyed the nature of beauty, boating, river bath and also tasted the traditional food of Tribal and danced along with them.
  • The Department organized the Valedictory Program - Annual General Meeting on 11.03.2026.

Sakunthala Vice Chairperson, ICSI Coimbatore Chapter was the Resource person.
  • In collaboration with The Karur Vysya Bank, Mettukadai Branch "SB Account Opening Program" was organized for the Students on 30.07.2024.
  • Personality Development Programme on "Success through Energy" and “The Power of Thoughts was conducted for the second year students on 12.8.2024 & 13.8.2024. Rtn. Dr. M. Shanmugasundaram Director, Phoenix Training Academy Erode was the Resource person.
  • The Department was conducted an Awareness Program on "Anti Drug and Anti Ragging - Human Chain Formation" on 16.08.2024.
  • Industrial Visit to Texvalley Gangapuram, Erode for the final year students on 17.08.2024.
  • Guest Lecture on "AI Tools for the Future" was conducted for II-B.Com (PA) 'A' & 'B' and III- B.Com (PA) Students on 28.8.2024. P.Gobinath,Senior Software Developer, ETS Academy, Erode. was the Resource Person.

  • A One-day International Conference on “Integrating SDGs into Business Strategies for Sustainability” (Hybrid Mode)was organized by the Department in collaboration with PCAS on 20.09.2024.Technical Session-I was addressed byDr.R. Sangeetha, Associate Professor, Christ University, Bangalorein the topic on “Business in the Age of Sustainability: How Responsible Consumption and Climate Action are Shaping the Future”, Technical Session-II was addressed by Dr.R.Karunakaran, Associate Professor, College of Business and Economics, HawassaUniversity, Ethiopiaon “Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment: Role of Third Sector Economy”. Dr.S.VaralakshmiAssistant Professor, Mazoon College, Sultanate of Omanwas addressed onGrowth, Evolution and Strategies of Sustainable Development Goals: An Overviewin “Technical Session-III. Technical Session-IV was addressed byDr.B.Dhanalakshmi ,Assistant Professor,PG and Research Department of Commerce (Aided), Ethiraj College for Women(Autonomous), Chennai. She addressed regarding Business Research and Sustainability Development.A total of 50 research papers were presented in the Conference. These presentations were moderated through 2 Tracks by: Prof. (Dr.) Sunita SharmaIQAC Coordinator,JES College of Commerce Science & Information Technology, Mumbai, Dr. D. Jayaprakash,Assistant Professor & Head Incharge, Department of Accounting and finance, Dwaraka DossGoverdhan Doss Vaishnav college(Autonomous),Arumbakkam, Chennai respectively Dr.Sultan Ahmed Ismail,Member, State Planning Commission, Government of Tamil Nadu,Task force member, State Planning Commission, Government of Chhattisgarh,Chairman for the Reconstituted High Level Expert TechnicalCommittee – Hydrocarbon Project Government of Tamil Nadu addressed the valedictory session. Around 100 faculty members and research scholars from various states in India and from Malaysia published their papers in E-ISSN and E-ISBN Journals/ Books.
  • CorPro GI Mart was organized by our department on 08.10.2024. Around 3000 college students and 200 staff members were benefitted from our college in this programme.

  • Students Induction Program was conducted on 26.06.2023 for the First Year Students. The Head of the Department addressed the first year students regarding College rules & regulations, academic career, code of ethics and future prospects.
  • Department Faculty Members conducted Bridge course for First Year Non-Computer Students from 10.07.2023 to 12.07.2023 & on 14.07.2023.
  • Association Activities were Inaugurated on 13.07.2023. CS. A. Elanghovan, Chairman of ICSI Coimbatore Chapter was the Chief Guest. On the same day Professional Course Awareness Program was conducted for all Commerce stream students. CS Awareness was created in Session-I by CS. C. Sakunthala, Secretary, ICSI Coimbatore Chapter and CA Awareness was created in Session-II by CA. R. Arulselvam, Partner, Thilagar Associates, Perundurai.
  • On 13.07.2023 the Department in association with IQAC and in collaboration with ICSI Coimbatore Chapter organized Faculty Development Programme on "Trends in Teaching and Learning Pedagogy". CS. K. Ravi, Chief Financial Officer, Roots Group of Companies & Director, Roots Multiclean Ltd, Coimbatore addressed the Faculty Members.
  • SB Account opening event was organized on 14.07.2023. Ms. M. Karthika, (Alumnus) Cashier and Ms. P Shobana, Business Correspondent of Indian Overseas Bank, Nasiyanur Branch opened 60 SB Account for our Department students in our College campus.
  • Academic Exchange Programme with Patrician College of Arts and Science(PCAS), Chennai was carried out from 17.07.2023 to 19.07.2023.
  • 9 students and 1 faculty member from KASC, Erode and around 25 students from PCAS, Chennai were involved in this Academic Exchange Programme.
  • In order to bridge the gap between school and college career, an orientation programme was organised for the first year students on 18.07.2023. Session-I was addressed by Mr.R.Dhanapal, Art of Living International Faculty, Sri Sri Yoga Tamil Nadu State Co-Ordinator on “Health and Happiness”. Session-II was addressed by Mr. Sri Sasikumaar, Human Lifestyle Mentor, Gnana Sanjeevanam Gurukulam, Coimbatore on “Power of Self”.
  • Best Practice “Mock Trading” training was given by S.Piruthiviraj (Alumnus) Deputy Manager, Indusind Bank Ltd, Coimbatore. (Capital Market Investor) and by the Department Faculty Members for Second Year students on 23.8.2023. On the same day Best Practice “Exploring Entrepreneurs” training was given by the Department Faculty Members for Third Year students.
  • The Department in association with IQAC organized Legal Awareness Program on 30.8.2023. Legal Awareness was created by Mr. V. Suren & Mr.N.Sugavanam, students of the Central Law College, Salem in two sessions namely Session-I Constitution Law of India and Session –II Motor Vehicles Act for students, Non-teaching staff members & Drivers.
  • Guest Lecture on ‘Financial Services and Opportunities’ was conducted on 31.8.2023 for II and III year Professional Accounting students. CA P. Prasanth Surya, Practicing Chartered Accountant, Paul & Aravind Chartered Accountants, Tirupur was the resource person.
  • Faculty Exchange Programme with Sri Rama Krishna Mission Vidhyalaya College of Arts and Science (A), (SRKMVCAS), Coimbatore was carried out from 20.09.2023 to 22.09.2023.
  • Mr.C.Karthick, Assistant Professor, SRKMVCAS, Coimbatore. and Dr.P.Parvatham, Associate Professor, KASC, Erode were involved in the programme. Dr.M.Shanmuga Sundaram, Trainer of Phoenix Training Academy imparted Personality Development Programme on 21.9.2023 & 22.9.2023 under the topic “Be a Google Map”.
  • Hybrid mode International Multidisciplinary Conference on “Emerging Trends in Humanities in the New Revolutionary Era 5.0” was organized by the Department in collaboration with PCAS on 26.09.2023. Inaugural address and Technical Session-I was addressed by Prof. Dr. Firdous, Professor, STIA Abdul Haris College of Administrative Science, Makassar, Indonesia. He addressed on “New Business Opportunities in the Digital Era”, Technical Session-II was addressed by Prof. Ramanathan Karuppiah, International Director, Financial Crime Compliance, Australia, Griffith University, Director, Islamic Bank, Australia on “Artificial Intelligence and Sustainability Development”. Dr. M.B. Arun Balakrishnan, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce, Christ College (Autonomous) , Irinjalakuda, Kerala addressed on “Research and Economic Impact in Industry 5.0” in the Technical Session-III. Technical Session-IV was addressed by Mr. Balaji Sadagopan, COO - Chai Kings on “Resilience and Reinvention”. A total of 49 research papers were presented in the Conference. These presentations were moderated by Dr.G.Joicy Lidwina, Assistant Professor, Department of Corporate Secretaryship, Loyola College, Chennai and Dr.C.J.Lakshmi, Assistant Professor, Mount Carmel College (Autonomous), Bengaluru. Erode, VV National Chairs, Managing Director, Mr.V. Senthilmurugan addressed in the valedictory session. A total of 1073 Faculty Members and Students from 26 colleges inside and outside Tamilnadu participated along with Kongu Arts and Science College and Patrician College of Arts and Science, Chennai.
  • Extension activity ‘Unnatha Karangal’ was organized on 14.12.2023. Under this activity materials worth of Rs10,690/- was received as donation from the students for Chennai Michaung Cyclone Flood were handed over to the KASC NSS Program Officer.
  • Guest Lecture on “Emerging Trends in Accounting” was conducted on 15.12.2023 for second and third year Corporate Secretaryship students. Dr. K. Ramesh, Professor, PG and Research Department of Commerce, K.S.R College of Arts & Science (Autonomous), Tiruchengode was the resource person. Online Commerce Quiz exclusively for Higher Secondary Students was conducted during December 2023 and January 2024.
  • The Department & IQAC in collaboration with PCAS organized Five Days Online National Level Capacity Building Program(CBP) on “Unleash the Potential of AI for Research” from 22.1.2024 to 26.1.2024 through Microsoft Teams and G-Meet. DR. D. Kumaresan, Professor and Director, School of Commerce, K.S.R College of Arts and Science for Women, Tiruchengode was the resource person. On the first day he addressed on ‘AI for finding Articles’. The second day session was about ‘AI for Literature Review’ and in the third day he addressed on ‘AI for Chatting with Documents’. ‘AI for Plagiarism Check was the fourth day’s session and on the fifth day he addressed on ‘AI for Bibilography’. 353 Faculty Members, Research Scholars and Students from various Colleges across India participated in this Capacity Building Program.
  • Workshop on “GST and Business Practices” was conducted on 31.1.2024, 1.2.2024 & 8.2.2024 for final year students. Mr. D. Siva Shanmugam, GST Practitioner, GST Academy of Excellence, Erode was the resource person. Workshop on "Tally with GST" was organized for the second year students on 1.2.2024. Mr. S. Saravanan, Tally regional trainer, V-Guru Academy, Erode was the resource person.
  • To bring out the hidden talents of the students Intra-Departmental Function “CorPro FOCUS - 2024” was conducted on 20.2.2024 & 21.2.2024. Events such as Mock Meeting, Paradoxical Talk, Selfie Marketing, Treasure Out of Trash, Group Dance and Talent Collage were conducted. Deepiga.A.R (23UCSC008), Sabitha Devi.E (23UCSC041) and Vishweshwaran. T (23UCSC057) of first year Corporate Secretaryship students have completed ‘English Junior’ level in type writing.
  • One among the strength of our department is our old students. Alumni Exam Fees Scholarship was sponsored by 2011-2014 CS CA Batch. From April/May 2017 and onwards this scholarship was provided for one student in each class. 2014 -2017 PA Batch has started providing Alumni Exam Fees Scholarship from Nov/Dec 2022.

  • “Bridge Course” was conducted for the first year non-computer students on 8.8.2022, 10.8.2022, 11.8.2022 and 12.8.2022.
  • The Department conducted an “Anti Tobacco Awareness Survey” for the Erode and Tirupur District people to create awareness about the harmful effects of tobacco usage and the Tobacco Control Laws from 13.8.2022 to 16.8.2022.
  • “Inaugural of Association Activities” of the Department was organized on 18.08.2022. CS. S. Palanikumar, Chairman, ICSI Coimbatore Chapter, was the Resource Person.
  • MoU was signed with The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (Coimbatore Chapter)” on 18.8.2022 and as a part of it a Professional Course Awareness program was organized on “Career as a Company Secretary” for the first year students.
  • In collaboration with The Karur Vysya Bank, Mettukadai Branch “SB Account Opening Program” was organized for the Students on 18.8.2022.
  • As a part of MoU signed with the Patrician College of Arts and Science, Chennai an International Conference (Hybrid Mode) was organized on “Research, Innovation & Entrepreneurship for Sustainable Economic Development” for the students on 7.9.2022 and the resource persons were:

Mohanasundaram, Associate Professor, Department of Management Studies, M S Ramaiah Institute of Technology.   • “Guest Lecture” on ‘Global Trends in Indian Economy’ was conducted for the final year students on 19.1.2023. Dr. V. Gowtham Raaj, Assistant Professor, Department of Management, G.R. Damodaran Academy of Management, Coimbatore acted as a resource person.
  • In order to have an practical exposure on application of management concepts and implementation of various Acts, “Factory visit” was organized for the pre-final year students to the Doddabetta Tea Factory (Ooty) on 4.2.2023.
  • An Extension activity on “Unnadha Karangal” (“Deposit your Donations for Destitute” - Donations can be of Text books, Note books, Dresses, Utensils, Other household items etc) was organized in association with Kathirampatti, Pavalathampalayam and Nanjanapuram on 15.2.2023. Around 191 villagers get benefited.
  • “CorPro FOCUS - 2022” an ‘Intra-Departmental Function’ was conducted on 22.2.2023 and 23.2.2023. Competitions such as Mock Meeting, Paradoxical Talk, Selfie Marketing, Treasure Out of Trash, Group Dance and Talent Collage were conducted.
  • As a part of Best Practice an Exploring Entrepreneurs videos were screened on 7.3.2023 and judged by Mr.K.K.Sureshkumar, Assistant Professor of Computer Science (PG), KASC and Dr. G.Karthi, Assistant Professor, Department of Master of Business Administration, KASC, Erode.
  • Workshop on “GST and Business Practices” was organized on 28.3.2023 & 29.3.2023. Mr. D. Siva Shanmugam, GST Practitioner, GST Academy of Excellence, Erode was the resource person.
